Tignes, Val D’Isère

Tignes: also one of the highest municipalities in Europe, the centre of the town culminates at over 2150 metres, and a world-famous ski resort that with neighbouring Val-d'Isère forms the Espace Killy. The skiable glacier of the Grande Motte (3.653 metres above sea level), the highest point of the skiing region, is open four seasons a year with short interruptions in May and September. This makes Tignes a popular destination for sportsmen and tourists even in summer, as many ski clubs from all over Europe come to Tignes for training, due to the lack of skiable glaciers in summer. There is a wide range of hotels and restaurants to meet your every need.
