Alpes D’Huez

Alpe d'Huez : The ski resort was created in 1936 and is one of the largest ski areas in France. It boasts 245 km of pistes and 82 ski lifts in the Grandes Rousses ski area with an altitude difference of 2230 metres (from Pic du Lac Blanc 3330 metres to Oz at 1100 metres). The climb to the Alpe is one of the famous stages of the Tour de France. It boasts about 1100 metres of elevation gain (from 740 to 1850 metres) over 14 km, with an average gradient close to 8%. Numerous hotels and restaurants offer classic French-style hospitality.
